IV Workshop on Development Economics in Spain

October 26–27, 2026 · Universidad de Alicante, Spain

SPANDE and the Department of Fundamentos del Análisis Económico (FAE), Universidad de Alicante, invite submissions on economic development from both theoretical and empirical perspectives. We particularly encourage applications from scholars affiliated with institutions based in Spain.

II SPANDE Impact Evaluation Days

June 1–2, 2026 · CUNEF Universidad, Madrid · In collaboration with J-PAL Europe

SPANDE and J-PAL Europe invite public institutions, third-sector organizations, researchers, and practitioners to two days focused on impact evaluation: practical training on Day 1 and project presentations with collaboration opportunities on Day 2.

To promote an open, diverse academic community in Spain dedicated to the study of development economics, encouraging the exchange of ideas, data, methodologies, and opportunities for early‑career researchers.

What We Do

We organize annual workshops, thematic seminars, and PhD flash talks, connecting the community with partner institutions and sharing vacancies, calls, and resources.

Community

Members from universities across Spain and Europe. Researchers in development economics or related fields are welcome to join the network.

Collaborators

Fundación Ramón Areces, CUNEF University, and other academic partners. Institutions interested in collaboration are encouraged to contact us.
